My trip to North Korea

The people wear colour coded badges that denote their social status and mental capacity

In 2007 Niall Hatch was one of only 38 foreigners who crossed the border into North Korea. He describes the people he met and the things he saw from fake shop fronts to "ancient caves sculptures" constructed entirely from fibre glass. This is a rare insight into one of the worlds most mysterious countries.
